Summary of Decision |
The Hellenic Competition Commission in plenary session cleared, pursuant to Article 8(3) of the Greek Competition Act 3959/2011, the concentration which concerns the acquisition of RADIOTILEOPTIKI S.A., which is active in the media sector in Greece and runs the nationally televised channel “Epsilon TV”, by DIMERA MEDIA INVESTMENTS LTD. The Commission decided that the concentration, while falling within the scope of Article 6(1) of the Greek Competition Act 3959/2011 and Article 3 of Greek Law 3592/2007, does not satisfy the requirements in Article 3(3), which means that the acquiring company will not, on the back of the transaction in question, have a dominant position in the market and will not significantly limit competition. |
