Summary of Decision |
The HCC unanimously decided and accepted the proposal of the Public Gas Company SA (DEPA) to amend the commitments adopted by its previous decision (No. 551 / VII / 2012), and specifically to modify its parameters and method of operation for the supply of quantities of natural gas through electronic auctions, in order to achieve the most efficient operation of the electronic auction system, to increase the participation of companies, optimize the sources of gas supply to customers and to enhancethe development of competitors in the gas supply market through their access to a flexible natural gas supply holistic portfolio. The decision anticipated, inter alia, the supply of quantities of natural gas both through auctions and on an annual basis, the offer of more and / or differentiated products through electronic auctions, the further allocation of the shares of the respective auctioned quantity, as well as the adoption of measures regarding the formulation and certification of starting price of auctioned quantities, and the delivery of auctioned quantities to the Virtual Declarations’ Point of the Natural Gas Transfer System (ESFA). The above decision was taken following consultation with DEPA customers and in collaboration with the Energy Regulatory Authority (RAE). |
