Summary of Decision |
The Hellenic Competition Commission, taking into consideration the observations of the participants in the relevant public consultation, unanimously decided on the criteria for the prioritization of cases, and the strategic objectives, as they are stated in the annex to the said Decision. As mentioned in the Decision, key criterion for the Commission’s action is serving the public interest, as this is assessed given the extend and the estimated impact of a practice on the operation of effective competition. In addition, priority is given in cases i) where there is a leniency application, and ii) to specific sectors of the economy where there is a need to take exceptional regulatory measures, in accordance with the terms and conditions of article 11 of L. 3959/2011, as well as to iii) the advisory powers (the issue of an Opinion) of the Hellenic Competition Commission. In the same Decision, the criteria taken into account to determine the priority for the handling of complaints and ex-officio cases are also set up. |
