The survey aims at observing and documenting the behavior of users of financial technology services, i.e. digital payment and banking services, investments, insurance and digital services offered in the financial sector by technology companies acting as intermediaries (not traditional providers of banking and financial products), either startups or Big Techs (Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon etc) to Greek internet users.
The survey adopts a multidimensional point of examining the level of acceptance of these services by Greek consumers – users by examining the usage profile (type of service, frequency of use etc.), the advantages and problems/challenges concerning the use of digital financial services and the level of satisfaction by using the digital services that are under research.
The survey is realized by the Information Systems and Databases Laboratory of the Ionian University and ELTRUN, the E-Business Research Center of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) in collaboration with the Hellenic Competition Commission. The questionnaire and the analysis of the data are anonymous and are realized by researchers of the Ionian University and the Athens University of Economics and Business exclusively within the context of this survey.
