The HCC, in the context of its strategic planning to strengthen its international presence and influence on shaping competition policies, both in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Balkans as well as at European and international level, along with its effort to extend cooperation with other national competition authorities at a bilateral level, proceeded with the signing of a Memorandum of Partnership with the Commission for Protection of Competition of the Republic of North Macedonia on 29.09.2021, at the premises of the HCC in Athens.
The signing of the Memorandum by the Presidents of the two Competition Authorities, Ioannis Lianos and Vladimir Naumovski, was attended by the Ambassador of North Macedonia Ms. Lidija Boshkovska and the Embassy Counselor, Mr. Samir Ganija.
In addition, similarly in the context of taking and implementing initiatives to strengthen cooperation with other competition authorities at a bilateral level, the HCC signed a Memorandum of Partnership with the Albanian Competition Authority on 7.09.2021. The signing of the Memorandum took place virtually in view of the restrictions due to the pandemic situation, however both Competition Authorities have planned the exchange of visits and the organisation of joint actions in the near future, within the scope of the Memorandum of Partnership.
The signing of the above Memoranda of Partnership represents another important step forward in enhancing the HCC’s international activity and outreach.
