On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at 4.30 p.m., the Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC) will present in live streaming, its new platform “HCC Data Analytics and Economic Intelligence”, an innovative tool developed in collaboration with a team of experts.

This is a pioneering project at pan-European level, which aims to create an optimal real-time data collection system, which will enable the Commission to gain more rapidly a picture of market developments, and to filter out abusive, anti-competitive behaviors and illegal collusions (cartel), as well as cases of bid-rigging.

The presentation will be prefaced by the Chairman of the Competition Commission, Mr. Ioannis Lianos.

Then the professor of AUEB, Mr. Vassilis Vassalos, and his colleague, Mr. Admir Demirai, will present the mode of operation and the possibilities of the new platform “HCC Data Analytics and Economic Intelligence”.

Then, Mr. Ioannis Doxaras, representative of the company that undertook the technical infrastructure of the project, will refer to the interconnection of the platform with public databases.

This will be followed by the presentation of the Head of the new Department for Digital Evidence Research (Forensics), Ms. Eygenia Ioannidou.

The event, which is scheduled to last from 4.30p.m.to 6.00a.m. will be open to the public and will be broadcasted at www.epant.gr/intelligence.
