The Hellenic Competition Commission (HCC), within the context of its actions to promote and enhance competition organized an international workshop on “Overlapping Ownership & Competition” on 21 July 2023 in collaboration with the University of Crete, Department of Economics.
The aim of the workshop was to bring together legal experts, economists and academics to discuss many facets of Οverlapping Οwnership and their impact on competition. As Οverlapping Οwnership (e.g. common ownership, cross-ownership) has been the subject of intense debate in the antitrust community in recent years, the workshop aims accordingly to provide useful insights to policymakers and stakeholders. The workshop, was held in English, open to the public via Live Streaming from the HCC’s website.
The Workshop was divided into two sessions: session 1 - Which Future for Overlapping ownership and competition law and policy? and session 2 - Specific Applications on Overlapping Ownership and Competition. You can watch the video of the workshop here.
