Summary of Decision |
The Chamber of the Hellenic Competition Commission unanimously cleared, pursuant to Article 8(3) of the Greek Competition Act 3959/2011, the concentration concerning the acquisition of NRG TRADING HOUSE S.A. by MOTOR OIL (HELLAS) S.A., through the acquisition of 90% of its shares, granting the latter sole control over the former. The Commission decided that the concentration in question, which concerns, primarily, the market for the wholesale production and supply of electricity and the market for the retail supply of electricity to low and medium voltage customers, while falling within the scope of Article 6(1) of the Greek Competition Act 3959/2011, does not raise any serious doubts as to its compatibility with merger control rules in the relevant markets. |
